Welcome to Parul Institute of Management - PGDM Programme. I am Assistant Professor Samir Thakkar and I will be taking one of the subjects, Organizational Behavior (OB). This subject is very important for those students who would like to build their future in the field of Human Resource (HR). At the same time, the subject is very important for those who will not be taking HR.
The core objectives of this subject are:
1. To learn how the behavior of human beings is formed; and
2. To learn how to manipulate the behavior for the benefit of the organization.
This year, I have tried to include a few things which I had not included earlier. The syllabus can be downloaded from the link given below. I have worked hard to prepare this 'new' syllabus. One or two topics have their reference in Harvard Business School as well!
Apart from that, I have introduced this blog, which I will use for regular communication with you all. It is suggested that you save the link to this blog and visit it regularly. I will upload many documents on this blog for your download, and these documents will be used during the classroom sessions.
